Dispatch Media Network
Privacy Policy
Effective October 20, 2026
Dispatch Media Network (“Dispatch,” “we” or “us”) publishes Dispatch Daily, Capital Dispatch, Copyright Dispatch, Channel Dispatch and our other publications (the “Sites”). This policy explains what we collect when you read or register on the Sites, how we use it and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Information you give us. Your email address when you register, and whether you choose to receive offers from our partners.
- Registration details. Which Site and page you registered on, when you registered and when you last signed in.
- Cookies. A cookie that keeps you signed in across the Dispatch Sites. Clearing it signs you out.
- Technical data. Standard information our hosting provider records when you visit, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, used for security and performance.
How we use it
- To give you access to the Sites.
- To send you newsletters, updates and occasional reader surveys. Our emails may include sponsored messages and advertising.
- To understand our audience and improve our journalism.
- To verify the size and makeup of our audience for advertisers and sponsors.
- If you opt in, to send you offers from our partners.
- To protect the Sites, prevent abuse and comply with the law.
How we share it
- Service providers that host the Sites, deliver email or help us operate, under contract and only to perform those services.
- Advertisers and sponsors, for audience verification. We share aggregated statistics or email addresses in hashed (scrambled) form for matching. We do not give advertisers your readable email address unless you have opted in to partner offers.
- Partners, if you check “Send me offers from Dispatch partners.” We may send you offers on their behalf and may share your email address with them so they can contact you directly. Their use of it is governed by their own privacy policies.
- Legal and business reasons: when required by law or to protect our rights, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business.
Except as described here, we do not sell or rent your email address.
Your choices
- Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
- To stop partner offers, ask us to delete your information or request a copy of what we hold, email editors@dispatchdaily.media.
- You can clear our sign-in cookie in your browser at any time.
California residents
California residents may request information about any personal information we shared with third parties for their direct marketing purposes in the prior calendar year. Where California privacy law applies to us, you may also have rights to know, access, correct and delete your personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Send requests to editors@dispatchdaily.media. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Our Sites do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.
Readers outside the United States
The Sites are operated from the United States, and your information is processed there. We share your email address with partners for their own marketing only if you opt in.
Children
The Sites are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will delete it.
Retention and security
We keep your information while you remain a reader and for a reasonable period afterward, unless you ask us to delete it or the law requires otherwise. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and notify registered readers of material changes.
